Refund policy

This policy applies to teaching fees invoiced by Backup Nodehub after a written confirmation. This website does not take payment. Last updated 13 August 2026.

Eligibility

Refunds are available to the person or company named on the invoice. We need the invoice number, the original payment reference, and a short reason. Requests from a colleague who did not pay cannot be processed until the payer confirms.

Timeframe

For a Desk Review: request a refund at least 48 hours before the booked session. After the session starts, the fee is earned.

For a Lab Cycle: a full refund is available if you withdraw more than 14 days before week one. Between 14 days and the first lecture, a partial refund applies (see below). After week one begins, Lab Cycle fees are not refundable except where Thai consumer law requires otherwise or where we cancel the cycle.

For a Residency: fees for months not yet started can be refunded if you give 21 days’ notice. Months already started are not refunded.

Full or partial refund

A full refund returns the amount paid for that engagement, minus any non-refundable items listed below.

A partial refund for a late Lab Cycle withdrawal is 50% of the seat fee, provided no booklet download or studio-hour booking has been used. If studio hours were already used, we deduct a Desk Review equivalent (USD 480 informational rate, converted as on the invoice) from the refund.

Non-refundable items

Bank transfer fees charged by your bank, currency conversion spreads, and any travel you booked to Bangphlat are not refundable by us. Custom printed materials ordered at your request after enrolment are not refundable once printed.

Refund process

Write to info@backup-nodehub.digital or use the contact form with subject “Refund” and your invoice number. We confirm receipt within two working days and tell you whether the request is full, partial, or declined, with a reason.

Processing time

Approved refunds are initiated within 15 working days of our written approval. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to show the credit.

Refund method

We refund to the original payment method where possible (same account or card). If that rail is closed, we will agree a Thai bank transfer in THB or a USD transfer matching the invoice currency. We do not refund in cash at the studio.

Cancellation by Backup Nodehub

If we cancel a Desk Review, Lab Cycle, or Residency month for studio reasons (instructor illness, room unavailability we cannot replace), you may choose a full refund of the affected fee or a move to the next available date. That choice is yours.

Exceptions

If we materially fail to deliver the teaching described in the written confirmation — for example, no instructor attendance and no replacement within a reasonable time — you may request a full refund of the undelivered portion even after a cycle has started. Disagreement with a pedagogical judgement (including a failed limitation section on a diagnostic) is not, by itself, a delivery failure.

Mandatory rights under Thai law are not limited by this page. Where this policy and those rights conflict, the law prevails.
